A Tourist Industry for Sherbro
The reason behind the Beach Hut Project is to give the people of Sherbro a business they can build on. Phase two of the project will be to build a further 250 huts to add to the 250 from phase 1. Sherbro could then cater for over 2000 visitors to the island at any one time.
New bars and resturants are expected to open up in Bonthe, other types of tourist related business will soon follow provideing permanent work and income for the islanders. Promotion of tourism to the island will continue and it is hoped that Sherbro will start to prosper in a short period of time.
